Friday Night Fever~

I love to read! When I can, that is. I've been a bookworm since I was in first grade. We lived in the country, and the Bookmobile would park at the local Superette on Wednesdays. Mom would bring us there in the summer. Ohhh the smell of lots of books. I loved to read Nancy Drew, Edward Eager, Louisa May Alcott, Beatrix Potter...hmmmmm. I'd get in trouble for reading too much! I had to ride the bus to school and back and I always had a book to read. Bliss!

I'm currently reading this book. I love this series. I'm not a quilter, but these books make me wish I was. I love stories of families and friends weathering challenges and celebrating joys.

Oh, the title of this post: My poor DH has the flu! He spent all day at home in bed with a fever. So I pray he gets better soon. I pray that you all don't get this bug! And may your Saturday be blessed, no matter what you have planned!

I sure hope your dh gets to feeling better soon. So many are suffering from the flu right now. I heard the flu shots last fall didn't protect people like they should have. What sweet "bookworm" memories you have! Books are my passion too..I was the nerdy kid in school who carried around tons of books. I would read encyclopedias for fun. lol. Your current read looks like a great one! xo

oh... sorry about your DH... that flu has been so bad this year... and I am a quilter.... My grandmother had all kinds of quilt tops in her cedar chest when she died... and I inherited them.. there are about 12.. about 8 of them are already put together ready to quilt and 4 of them to be pieced together...I have hand quilted one and about finished with the second one... I am brand new at this and it is taking too much time... so after I finish this one I am going to take the ones that are already pieced and let a gal here in town put them on her machine... I am giving them to the other siblings and to a cousin... I am keeping the two that I have hand quilted... There is a couple of them that are sooo sweet ... Dutch girl design that I am going to put in cedar chest for a future granddaughter... ( I still have hope) ahahhahahahah and there is one special one that is going to my son Chris.... he loved grandmother Potts very very much and it will be his Christmas gift this coming Christmas.... sooooo I love to quilt.... and am learning... I will take some pictures this week of the one that I have finished ! I am learning to use my camera.... you ladies are very good at taking pictures...
