Yeah Baby, Do We Know How to Have Fun

I know that all of you blogger friends are going to be green with envy when you see what we did this weekend.

I use the term "we" lightly, as my DH worked for hours and hours chainsawing and splitting wood. I, on the other hand, only worked for a couple of hours stacking wood and thought I was going to die! LOL! Call me "Wussy-girl". I'm OK with it!

Warning, this is the most unflattering photo I've had taken of me in this millenium...or ever, possibly. But I feel I must include it to show the delightful fun that I experienced this Saturday in all of its ugliness and horror...
At least Sierra "helped". Dakota mostly lay in the sun and slept. During the chainsaw noise. I don't understand.

Have a blessed week. May your work be funner than stacking wood. Lots funner.

You still look gorgeous in all of your dorkiness!! I hope the folks at Berkley don't hear of your shenanigans for the weekend-you will be in serious trouble! LOL! It will make going back to work seem like child's play.

You are tooooooooooooo funny....... and I tried that once and did not like it! Will not do that again........hahahha We had a wood burning stove when we first moved in this house..... I loved it but not the splitting and stacking....... We had to take it out last winter due to the fact that the chimney collapsed! We hope to add another newer one this fall......... and I don’t think I had a funner weekend but who can tell!

I loved the pictures and the one of you! Yes, I agree~splitting and stacking wood is HARD work. Why did you do such a thing? Still cutting down some of your trees?

Chris, you don't look very happy in that photo! LOL That really is a crappy job and it's way too hot for that! But you have a gorgeous view to look at while you do it!
I didn't have a fun Saturday either. more truck troubles. When it rains, it pours!
Now get in under the AC and have some fun at the bench! Love ya~

I think you look amazing in the photo!!! Cute in the hat!! You're a doll no matter what you are doin' hon! Even stacking wood. Do you burn wood to heat in the winter? Hey..I am impressed! This is being prepared. We don't start cutting wood until October. Dh put in a wood burning furnace when we built our home 25 yrs ago. It sure has been a life saver! Cutting wood, stacking and all is a chore, I know! And I don't look as cute as you do I can guarantee! I used to get up in the middle of the night, when Dh traveled all the time, girls were babies, and go to the garage to stoke that furnace to keep the fire going hot, to heat our home. Many bitter cold winter nights, it'd be -10 or colder in that garage, the north wind howling. I am pretty dang good at lifting heavy logs and throwing them in that firebox. lol Just call me "ma Kettle". Your Dh has a nice wood splitter!
